How do you turn on the e-moped and start your ride?

How to start a GO sharing e-moped

You have localised the e-moped in the app and you walk towards it. Once arrived, there are multiple ways to start the moped. We will tell you everything about it in the explanation below. Next to that, we will also tell you how to accelerate and how to use the brakes. Useful information as well 😉

Reservation

When you have made a reservation in the app, you can start the moped once you are standing next to it. To do this, you click the ”Rent” button in the app. The scooter is now ready to ride. Check the moped dashboard as well. Is there a green light that says ”Ready”? Then you can immediately drive off. Is the light not on? Click the green button on the right side of the steering wheel. Now you are ready to go! Please note: the mopeds are fully electric which means they accelerate quickly. Start off slow and feel the tractive force of the moped.

QR Code

Did you find a moped on the streets? Scan the QR Code on the steering wheel with the scanner in the app. With this, you can also check if the moped is reserved by someone else. After you have scanned the QR code, the moped will appear in the app. To rent the moped, you click the ”Rent” button. The moped is now turned on and ready to ride. Check the dashboard of the moped as well. Is there a green light that says ”Ready”? Great, then you can immediately drive off. Is the light not on? Click the green button on the right side of the steering wheel. Now you are ready to GO!

Drive safe

Before you leave, it is important to put on a helmet. You can find this in the topcase. The topcase opens by pressing the lower button. When you have opened the topcase, you can choose between two sizes: medium and large. Hair nets are available to protect your hairstyle ;). Have you put on your helmet? Close the topcase by pressing down. Now you are ready to ride!

Let’s drive!

When you have started the moped and the green light that says ”Ready” is on, you can drive off. You accelerate by holding both hands on the steering wheel and turn the right handle towards you. An electric moped accelerates pretty fast, so start off slowly. You use the brakes by squeezing the brakes on the handlebars. Please make sure that you do not hit the gas while using the brakes. If you only want to slow down a bit, it might be better to just release the accelerator.
